Efren Herrera, Staff PT
Efren attended the University of Texas at El Paso where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology in and his Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2009.
He has worked at Border Therapy since 2009 and specializes in treating the athletic population and amputees.
Efren is married with a son. In his spare time, Efren likes to spending time with his family and play softball and golf on the weekends.
John Justin Soy, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist. Doctor of Physical Therapy. (PT, DPT)
Justin completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley in 2013 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in from University of Texas at El Paso. He is pursuing his GCS specialty.
Justin started working for Border Therapy in 2017 specializing in general orthopedics with an interest in geriatrics and manual therapy. He is certified to perform functional dry needling and is pursuing further training.
In his spare time, Justin enjoys lifting weights, hiking, movies, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Christa A. Bringas Lopez
Christa attended the University of Texas at El Paso for undergraduate school and completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology in 2001. She obtained her Master in Physical Therapy in 2006 at UTEP.
Christa began working at Border Therapy in 2008 and is currently the clinic manager at the Hondo Pass clinic location in North East El Paso.
Christa is McKenzie Certified in parts A and B for treating disorders of the spine. She enjoys treating patients with shoulder issues specially those who need post operative rehab.
Christa married in October 2014. In her spare time, Christa enjoys running and participating in marathons and obstacle course racing like the Spartan Trifecta, which she completed in 2014. She also enjoys lifting weights, yoga, traveling, going to the movies, being active in church and spending time with her family and friends.
Robert Yocom, PTA
Robert B. Yocom graduated from Western Technical College in 2017 with an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree and began working at Border Therapy shortly after.
He particularly enjoys working with post operative knee patients, but loves working with patients who are as driven to recover as he is to help them.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys going to the gym, hiking and participating in the Special Olympics with his brother
Anthony White, PTA
Anthony attended Texas Southern University working on a business bachelors degree, experiencing an injury having to receive Physical Therapy convinced him to a change of major. Anthony graduated from EPCC with an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in 2017 and started at Border Therapy shortly after. Anthony specializes working with sports related injuries having a background being a collegiate athlete and semi pro basketball player in Mexico. In his free time, Anthony is an AAU certified basketball coach and enjoys playing basketball, weight lifting and sports training.
